Preventive Services

Scheduling your child’s periodic dental exams & cleanings is important for early detection of dental disease & helps to prevent the development or advancement of dental disease. It also helps in shaping the positive attitude of the child towards dental office visits & possible treatments in the future.

Restorative Services

Composites are tooth-colored fillings. Composites consist of a resin matrix & chemically-bonded fillers. They are strong and esthetic and are ideal for small to moderate sized cavities. The color and shade of the filling is selected for every individual patient to match their teeth color. However, larger cavities may need full coverage restorations like crowns.

Special Health Care Needs

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry characterizes special needs as any physical, behavioral, developmental, cognitive, mental, sensory, or emotional impairment or limiting conditions requiring healthcare intervention, medical management, or the use of specialized services.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Your child should start visiting the dentist by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth appearing. Early dental visits help us monitor your child’s oral health, prevent any early dental issues, and teach them good habits for a lifetime of healthy smiles!

Braces can usually be considered for your child once most of their permanent teeth have come in, typically between the ages of 7 and 14. However, we recommend an orthodontic evaluation around age 7 to assess your child’s unique needs. Starting early can help guide teeth development and catch any problems before they become more complicated.

If your child has experienced a dental injury, stay calm and assess the situation. If a tooth is knocked out, try to gently rinse it with water (without scrubbing) and place it back in the socket if possible, or keep it in a container of milk. Contact us immediately for emergency dental care to address the injury and prevent further damage. We're here to help!

Cavities can be caused by various factors, such as frequent snacking on sugary foods, improper brushing, or not getting enough fluoride. To prevent cavities, encourage good oral hygiene practices like brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, reducing sugary snacks and drinks, and visiting us regularly for check-ups and cleanings. We can also provide additional preventive treatments like sealants to help protect your child's teeth.

We understand that a visit to the dentist can be intimidating for children. Our team is specially trained in pediatric care to create a friendly and welcoming environment. We use gentle techniques, fun distractions, and positive reinforcement to make your child feel comfortable. If needed, we also offer sedation options to help your child relax during their visit. Our goal is to make every dental experience positive and stress-free!
